I always like to paint out whatever's on my mind. Well it's no surprise that the Covid-19 pandemic has been very much on my mind and that of everyone else across the world. Although it's a very serious subject, I felt that I wanted to bring a little levity to my painting. I was also being inspired by a "Purple Rain" exhibit being advertised by the Art Center Cooperative in Jacksonville. The exhibit was challenging artists to create with a song title including purple as inspiration. The result was my little fun watercolor called "Purple Lips" inspired by the song of the same name. Of course, it had to have a face mask in it to truly represent 2020 but this mask lets us have lipstick on the outside. You all know what I'm saying. Has anyone worked out how to be lipstick ready with a mask?
