Birds

It seems that I'm going through a bit of a bird phase just now. Whether I'm working in oil or in watercolor, out pops another little birdie. I recently exhibited my Midnight Cockeral at The Art Center at Jacksonville Landing. Then followed my Blue Heron oil painting which you can see on my artwork page. Next came two quick draw beach birds - a sandpiper and a seagull- in watercolor. These little paintings were designed to ease me back into painting as I'd been less than productive over the summer. However my sandpiper created quite a stir. My Facebook followers got quite excited by it and started sending me title suggestions. These were debated furiously. Everything from Pickle the Piper to Sandy but my particular favorite was Freckles. So here he is. He is testament that giving 20 minutes to your art can provide something visually pleasing to many and much to talk about.
