In the style of Leedy

In our recent art classes with Robert Leedy, my classmates and I have been working on paintings in the style of some classic watercolorists including Winslow Homer painting in the Keys. This week we were allowed to choose one from our teacher's portfolio to create in his style. I chose 'Morning Sentry at 11th Street'. Leedy advice was to 'glaze, glaze, glaze' the lifeguard chair and it served me well. I think I did about 12 glazes in all with Alizarin Crimson as my key color. I give you both the original and my reproduction to enjoy here.
